Discover the Revolution
a holistic
appoach to healing
“Revolution is about the need to re-evolve political, economic and social justice and power back into the hands of the people, preferably through legislation and policies that make human sense. That’s what revolution is about. Revolution is not about shootouts.”
“There is nothing more beautiful than leading another person to become healthy and happy. My vision for holocracy in the healthcare system was born from the concept that wellness is built from within and considering “outside influences” as part of the system. Everything works together to create a health system that is greater than even the sum of individual parts. A single example within an individual system: We cannot compartmentalize the body and mind; total wellness of the individual will consider both of these things. On a larger scale a single person who is well in society is not as strong as many healthy individuals working together for the wellness of society and humanity. As we encourage wellness in ourselves we should be promoting wellness in others as well.

“Nursing’s story is a magnificent epic of service to mankind. It is about people: how they are born, and live and die; in health and in sickness; in joy and in sorrow. Its mission is the translation of knowledge into human service.
…
Nursing is compassionate concern for human beings. It is the heart that understands and the hand that soothes. It is the intellect that synthesizes many learnings into meaningful administrations.
…
For students of nursing the future is a rich repository of far-flung opportunities around this planet and toward the further reaches of man’s explorations of new worlds and new ideas. Theirs is the promise of deep satisfaction in a field long dedicated to saving the health needs of people.”

“I have an almost complete disregard of precedent, and a faith in the possibility of something better. It irritates me to be told how things have always been done. I defy the tyranny of precedent. I go for anything new that might improve the past.”― Clara Barton, The Story of My Childhood

“The Ick” Social Media and Personality Psychopathology Continued
So I thought I would write another post about social media and psychopathology that was inspired by reading this article: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/social-instincts/202408/2-ways-that-the-ick-can-ruin-a-perfectly-good-relationship I have talked about how there is research that has shown that social media use is amplifying especially more negative behavioral traits. Here is one on narcissism. To individuals susceptible to borderline personality disorder,…
Social Media and Personality Psychopathology
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0010440X22000682?via%3Dihub So today I wanted to talk about a topic that I think I will hopefully be posting more on in coming days in addition to my autism and other healthcare related posts. I really liked this article because it opened up with looking at symptom overlap and the transdiagnostic approach, which is going to…
